Free Shuttle Bus to Gyeongju and Jeonju

I am lucky enough to be one of the winners of the free shuttle bus that offered by the Visit Korea Committee. In order to encourage the tourists to visit the other cities in South Korea, VKC organises a lot of programmes that benefit the foreigners. Free Shuttle Bus programme is one of them. It has 3 routes.
1) Seoul - Gyeongju millennium line
2) Seoul - Jeonju daynasty line
3) Busan - Gyeongju millennium line
There is another new route to ski resorts which will start operating in December.

The 1st and 2nd routes' buses offer 28 seats while the 3rd route's bus has 40 seats. The passengers will be provided information brochures, Visit Korea Year Welcome Kit and the other souvenirs as well.

The application is very easy by just a few steps. Then the winner will be notified 10 days earlier by the VKC through the email. I got my Jeonju ticket early in the morning, may be due to less passengers applied for it, so, no need to draw. Gyeongju ticket came a bit late around 10am !!

There are many more benefits offered by the VKC. For more informations, please visit http://english.visitkoreayear.com/english/about/about_01_01_01.asp

A New Experience in Little Penang Street Market

Little Penang Street Market is a monthly market which takes place on the last Sunday of each month, in Upper Penang Road. Since the first market in July 2006, the Market has become established as a major venue for the showcasing of Penang’s culture and creativity.

It combines some 70 craft stalls with food, live performances in The Space, visual arts, children’s activities, hands-on demonstrations and book readings. All resulting in a wonderful ambience, unique in Penang.

My sister also sets up her stall along this street selling her handmade baby booties. Last Oct, she was away for Shang Hai Expo, so, i be a volunteer to help her "taking care" her stall ... haha ... it was so fun and it was really a new and good experience for me !!

Handmade baby booties from new born till 1 years old ++

...................................
My stall ..... hehe ............................................................................................................... Handmade handbags

The lady beside my stall. She is selling handmade soap with different fragrances ... lavender, lemon grass and fresh goat milk. I bought some from her as well !!

Ladies' Accesorries ................................................................................................ Handmade clay

There were still plenty of stalls but i have no time to take more photos of them ..
Assorted cup cakes ...so cute !!
.....................................................
CHIUWAWA ................................................................................. Can you believe she is a grandmum graded already !!
The sale on that day was quite good. Would probably help my sister in December again !! I really enjoy it !!

Wong Kok Kitchen @ Prangin Mall

When i was a teenager ...hehe, whenever came to Prangin Mall with family or friends, would have our meals at Wong Kok Kitchen @ Level 3 Prangin Mall. It was a place where used to be very happening which it was always full house and had to queue for your turn. But it doesn't seem so when i went there on 2nd Oct after watching a theatre in Auditorium, Komtar.

Top Left : Fried Rice / Sze Chuan Seafood Soup / Breakfast set with pork chop / Won Ton noodels / Spicy minced meat noodles / Milo Boom
The food also doesn't taste as nice as before. Is it due to changes of personal preferences or it is really so ?

Seoul Day#5

25th Nov (Thursday)
My sis will be leaving for Malaysia this day. But i will be remaining in South Korea. So, i plan to move to the other hostel which is nearby the station where i would need to board the free shuttle bus to Jeonju and Gyeongju.
Just made a room reservation in Bang Rang Hostel http://www.bangranghostel.com/introduction.html which i like about its korean style design and the good location of it !!
I did apply for the free shuttle bus to Jeonju 전주시(全州市) which is at the south of Seoul, approximately 3 hours bus trip. Hopefully i am lucky enough to get it !! Pray for me :))
Jeonju is an important tourist center famous for Korean food, historic buildings, sports activities and innovative festivals. Here are some destinations i might pay a visit since all of them are just walking distance from each other after the bus riding for the Jeonju Express bus terminal or Jeonju intercity bus terminal.
